Some mother's commit the unthinkable act of killing there own children because they are mentally disturbed or depressed. An Example of this is" Mothers don’t kill their children unless they are seriously disturbed,” said Lanny Berman, executive director of the American Association of Suicidology in Washington, D.C. Another example is "Studies and experts agree on one common factor when mothers commit such an unthinkable crime: extreme mental illness."

Taoism Changing China's History

Based on the article, how can Taoist texts can help deepen our understanding of early Chinese history?

Based on the article Taoist texts can deepen our understanding of early Chinese history by showing how they would act. The early Chinese didn't have emperor's yet so this their form of laws. An example is "China had never had an alternative political model". This shows how they used this as a form of law. Another example is "The celestial master was supposed to establish a new political structure". This shows that they used it as a form of law.

Is The World We Live In Real?

After reading the article "Are We Living in a Computer Simulation"  I still think that the world we live in is real. Even after reading the article I think the life that we have is not a computer simulation. I think this because I don't want accept the fact that it may be true that we are not real and that we may be just characters on a computer screen.

Holocaust Survivors and the story of Job

The story of Moshe Yosef Daum and Fela Nussbaum is similar to the story of Job because they both seeking for help. This is because in the story of Job he faces many trials and gets tested by God. In the story of Moshe Yosef Daum and Fela Nussbaum they face a lot of trials and things that will never be forgotten,But both stories also had there differences.
The story of Moshe Yosef Daum and Fela Nussbaum is different to the story of Job because   Moshe Yosef Daum and Fela Nussbaum question and wonder why God didn't help them when they need him the most. In the story of Job, even after all the trials he still believed in God and didn't curse him but with them they questioned why God made them go through all of those hardships.

Old Testament vs. Job

The story of job is similar to other Old Testament stories because God is testing their faith and making sure that they 'fear' him. In Adam and Eve God had planted the tree go test their and to see if they would listen to God's order. In Abraham and Isaac story, God had told Abraham to kill his only son. This was because God was testing Abraham's faith and making sure that he fear God. In Job, God has made a bet to make sure that Job 'feared' God and tested his faith. The story of Job is different from other Old Testament stories because this is between God,man and Satan. Where as the other stories are between God and man.

High School Feels

So far, the best thing about High school is more freedom. I feel that this is the best thing about High school because you don't feel like your in "prison" whereas in middle school you felt like you where in solitary confinement because of all the rules that had to be followed. The worst thing about High school is that I don't get to see all my friends as much as I want to. I feel this way because the High school is so big and the classes are not as close as they used to be in the Middle school. The classes are all separated by "wings" meaning that one subject is associated with one hallway. I also don't like how the lunch periods aren't separated by grade because now you don't get to hangout with friends from middle that don't have any classes with you. This is how I feel about the High school.

God as a character...?

This is my mind map about God. God as a character in a book was not what I expected this is because I was tought that God was a kind, compassionate, caring, comfortable being, but viewing God as a character changed my views on the kind, compassionate being that I know to a being to get very angry easily and a being that always wants to get its way and doesn't like mistakes. Examining Genesis 6-9 really changed my views on God as a character because this is where God had shown that he doesn't like people getting greedy and turning into selfish people. If they did turn out like that which they did, they wouldn't get a chance to redeem themselves instead they were all killed off expect for Noah and his family. This is my views on God as a character.

Women's fault?

In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth.......have you heard of the story of the creation of earth and man ? So if u have then the question we all ask is whose fault is it for us being banished from the Garden of Eden? I believe that it's Eve's fault because she knew that eating the fruit was bad but yet she still ate the fruit that was forbidden by God and she persuaded Adam to do the same. In the passage is states "The woman said to the serpent "we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden , but God did say,'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die'." This proves that she knew that eating the fruit is bad. Another reason why I believe that it's Eve's fault is in the passage it states""For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it." This shows that Eve knew what she was doing was bad.In conclusion the banishing of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden is Eve's fault

Greek flood myths vs. Mesopotamian flood myth

Have you ever heard of "Noah and the Ark"? Or what about "the Epics of Gilgamesh " these stories have many things in common but they also have a lot of differences. The Greeks and the Mesopotamians had very similar great flood stories but they so different in so many ways.
The Greeks and the Mesopotamians had very similar great flood stories. They both used arks(boats). They both involve gods and Demi-God. They both involve human beings being rude, greedy, noisy etc. They both involved just 2 people being saved, the main character(usually a guy) that was chosen by the God or gods and then you have his wife. Both Arks(boats) landed on a mountain. This shows how the Greeks and Mesopotamians great flood stories are similar.
The Greeks and the Mesopotamians great flood stories are different. The Mesopotamians great flood lasted for six days and six nights. The Greeks great flood lasted for nine days and nine nights. Zeus wanted to kill the humans because of how mean, rude and greedy they were. The Mesopotamian gods wanted to kill them because they overpopulated and noisy. This shows how the Greeks and the Mesopotamians Great flood story are different.
In conclusion there are many versions of the great flood story and they are similar and different in many ways.
